Farewell...My Little Girl is Going On Her First Trip.

This is the busting at the seams suitcase of my 4 year old who is going to San Diego with her Pop (Grandpa). I wrote a few "love" notes and reminders within. Brush your teeth, I miss you, wear sunblock, etc. I made sure to include plenty of shoes and accessories for the 48 hour trip. And, of course dresses!

I made her a little airplane bag for her flight. Inside she will find princess magnet book, crayons and small activity book, pencils, card games, snacks, bottle of water, hand sanitizer and wipes. I attached bows to the suitcase and bag to make it easy for her to find. Since she won't be the only one with a black suitcase.

Summer Fun Under the Sun

For my daughter's first birthday I went with the summer fun under the sun theme. I made the invitiations and sent them out a couple weeks in advance. The paper is from

My two girls wore yellow ruffled swimsuits, clearance for $6 at Old Navy. I can't believe I got both their sizes. I used yellow as the main color and had all water toys and games for the kids to play. We bought beach balls, buckets, sand toys, water guns and dive toys from toysplash.com
Above is the Bonzai Water Slide is from Toys R' Us. We also have a trampoline and swing set, right. Since we had the party early August EVERYTHING summer was on clearance...water guns, water balloons, water table, water toys. All week the forcast was rain, rain, rain. We held our breathe to discover a beautiful summer day in Arizona, 95 degrees, cool enough to hang outside. After the party, around 9 pm, it poured raining like crazy. We barely missed the storm.
For all of my children's first birthday I make their cake. It is a special tradition. Besides, the best part of the party is watching the birthday girl devour the cake. And she did!
The party favors were from Toysplash.com . I put tissue paper at the bottom and filled it with Toy Story dive sticks, 3" water gun, and candy collected from the pinata.

Welcome

I wish for this to be the beginning of something awaking for me. Allowing myself to write and share will give me a sense belonging in this big world. It doesn't matter if a single person reads this, or a million. I am doing this to disclose insight on ideas I feel important to share. However, my goal is that if anyone does read my blog it will provide them with something good and positive in their life.
